TThis week, independent watchmaker Fortis presented two new Flieger pilot’s watches in environmentally friendly steel.
The Fortis Flieger F-39 and F-41 Midnight Blue come in recycled stainless steel cases that feature brushed surfaces, drilled lugs and even the bezel insert is made of steel. The Fortis Flieger Midnight Blue in 39mm and 41mm comes on a gray-blue olive leaf tanned cowhide strap created from sustainable resources, handcrafted in Germany, with a steel pin buckle recycled stainless steel. The retail price of the Fortis Flieger F-39 (Ref. F4220011) or F-41 (Ref. F4220013) is $ 2,000. A stainless steel bracelet is available for an additional $ 500.
